KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Bhd (MIDF) has set up a special financing assistance under the SME Emergency Fund (SMEEF).
This is meant to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that have been severely affected by the recent floods in several states.
The fund is provided by the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry through SME Corp Malaysia and is managed by MIDF.
“Under the SMEEF, MIDF offers financing up to RM100,000 for flood-affected SMEs in all economic sectors.
“The fund can be used for items including machinery and equipment, refurbishment of business premises and working capital,” MIDF said in a statement.
