Homegrown financial technology company, Revenue Monster, partnered Malaysia Digital Economy Corp (MDEC) to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) digitalise their businesses.
Revenue Monster and MDEC collaborate on an e-commerce onboarding campaign that would benefit 300,000 local businesses.
The Go-eCommerce Onboarding and Shop Malaysia Online (SMO) campaigns see Revenue Monster working with local SME owners to digitalise their businesses through à la carte.
Revenue Monster CEO Amanda Chin (picture) said this campaign, allocated under Budget 2021, aims to ease the process of digitalisation for businesses and SMEs who need help to survive through this difficult pandemic times.
“Our commitment to helping Malaysian businesses, particularly SMEs, who have been heavily impacted by the pandemic.
“We aim to support as many businesses as possible and encourage them to take advantage of this campaign and sign up to enjoy our benefits,” Chin said in a statement yesterday.
With this campaign, she said local businesses can tap into Revenue Monster’s wide-ranging ecosystem to upgrade their business to digital at zero cost.
Revenue Monster provides an all-in-one online superstore solution designed to help businesses take their operations online, driving business sustainability and generating revenue.
Businesses that sign up for the campaign will benefit from four key Revenue Monster’s features including to receive one free payment terminal and marketing materials, own an online store (à la carte), payment solution with payment links and interoperable platforms with terminals, merchant app and portal.
Chin said the company wants to encourage more people to support local merchants through their à la carte stores.
Additionally, she said Revenue Monster hopes to help businesses generate additional revenue through the SMO rebate campaign, with up to RM 85,500 in cash rebates being offered.
“Users who spend a minimum of RM35 in a single transaction are entitled to an instant RM5 rebate using a special promo code: SHOP5.
“We hope that by rewarding the end customer, more of them will be encouraged to buy local and help support these businesses who need our help and attention,” Chin said.
Business experts and market observers viewed that SMEs need to immediately adapt automation in their businesses to remain competitive and continue to be resilient through the impact of the Covid-19 crisis.
The Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated the shift of consumer behaviours towards digital transactions and e-commerce, risking micro and SMEs to be left behind if they fail to keep up with the trends.
