KUALA LUMPUR: VSTECS Bhd, Malaysia's leading information and communications technology distributor, has through its wholly-owned subsidiary VSTECS Pericomp Sdn Bhd (VPSB), has partnered with SAS, an American multinational developer of analytics software, to accelerate the growth of analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) for businesses in Malaysia.
The partnership between SAS and VSTECS will bring analytics and AI to Malaysian small and medium enterprises (SME) and mid-sized enterprises through its cloud-native SAS Viya platform that helps customers accelerate innovation and reduce costs through operationalising analytics, while helping customers efficiently democratise analytics throughout their organisations.
VSTECS chief executive officer Soong Jan Hsung said intelligent machines, cloud services, data science and AI are going to be the way of the future as businesses seek to communicate in a more personalized way with customers.
"At VSTECS, we are cognizant of this and have been laying the foundation to tap these opportunities for the past 2 years.
"SAS's analytics technology will strengthen our existing suite of products and services and with our channel reach, we are confident this collaboration will yield positive results for both parties moving forward," he said in a recent statement.
As a local distributor, VSTECS will be responsible for solutions consulting, designing solutions, developing prototypes and projects, business development, implementation, and maintenance.
