PUTRAJAYA: The public is urged to report to authorities if they come across non-essential businesses operating during the movement control order.

Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the rules are clear on businesses that are allowed to operate.

“The list of economic activities that are allowed is clear. We allow essential businesses and their chains to operate.

“The SOP is the same whether it is businesses operating from hypermarkets, malls or if it is a roadside business, ” he said on Tuesday (Jan 26).

Ismail Sabri, who was asked on complaints that non-essential businesses operating during MCO, has asked the public to report to authorities of such activities.

“Please report so that action can be taken against errant business owners, ” he said.
