RIYADH: The General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monshaat) on Monday said that viewership of the virtual sessions it has organized to promote e-commerce and discuss ways to promote entrepreneurs has reached 1.14 million.

The authority has organized 10 sessions covering different topics to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and ways to boost digital transformation in the Kingdom.
So far four sessions have taken place. These virtual sessions aim to keep SMEs afloat using digital apps during the ongoing coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

The fourth session held on Sunday discussed ways to emerge from the ongoing health crisis with minimum damage.

The session titled “E-commerce and applications to support SMEs” discussed the role of Monshaat in activating the infrastructure to support applications and partnerships with the private sector.  

The session also discussed the growth of the e-commerce market in Saudi Arabia and Monshaat’s contribution to support e-commerce and its role in supporting SMEs electronically during the crisis.
