
CelcomDigi has rolled out a suite of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions, built entirely in-house, aimed at improving efficiency and customer experience, with plans to make them available to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through an AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS) model.
The solutions, first showcased at the ASEAN AI Summit 2025, are already in use within the company and include tools for workflow automation, customer service, business case analysis and employee engagement. Among them are a digital assistant to streamline routine tasks, an AI Business Case Assistant for data-driven proposals and an AI tool to enhance contact centre operations.
Chief Innovation Officer T. Kugan said the technology had already delivered measurable gains internally and was now being refined for broader use.
“Built entirely in-house, we are seeing improvements in delivering operational efficiencies for us. While we continue refining them internally and integrating AI first into every layer of our operations and connected experiences, we are now exploring how some can be adapted into accessible AIaaS offerings, particularly for SMEs, so they can tap into AI without heavy capital investment,” he said.
The company also featured other AI-enabled solutions at the summit, including 5G-powered healthcare applications such as HoloMedicine® for surgical planning, telemedicine services for rural communities and Malaysia’s first 5G AI-integrated logistics automation.
