MBSB Bank Bhd has rolled out the MBSB Retailer Dashboard, a locally developed solution aimed at streamlining and automating payment tracking for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the retail sector.
The dashboard offers a centralised view of transactions across various outlets, platforms and payment channels, addressing the growing complexity of digital operations.
MBSB Group chairman Datuk Wan Kamaruzaman Wan Ahmad (picture) said the solution is designed to give SMEs better visibility, making payment clarity accessible, automated and actionable.
He said the tool tackles one of the key challenges faced by SMEs — fragmented payment systems requiring them to juggle multiple platforms like eWallets, food delivery apps and card terminals.
“Instead of manually reconciling spreadsheets and payment slips, SMEs now have one platform that gives them real-time oversight of daily collections, payment discrepancies and overall cashflow performance,” he said at the launch ceremony on June 24.
Wan Kamaruzaman added that the dashboard integrates with existing payment systems to automate transaction matching, issue alerts for discrepancies and speed up end-of-day reconciliations.
“By removing the need for manual cross-checking, we’re helping SMEs close their books faster, reduce errors and make quicker, data-driven decisions, especially for lean teams with tight margins,” he said.
The bank aims to onboard 30 to 50 SME retailers in the first year, with adoption projected to grow by 30% in the second year, and targets to become the preferred digital banking partner for retail SMEs by the third year.
The solution was launched at an event attended by SME clients and partners, including QBistro, Kapten Batik and Richiamo Coffee Sdn Bhd.
Kapten Batik and Richiamo Coffee signed partnership agreements with MBSB Bank at the event, joining early adopter QBistro.
Hajris Group Sdn Bhd group MD Riyasutin Mohamed Zulkifli said the dashboard provides instant insights across branches, helping the fast-growing food and beverage (F&B) chain focus on customers instead of chasing numbers.
Meanwhile, Richiamo Coffee director Nurul Nabilah Muhamad Zamry said the dashboard is a game changer, offering the ability to track income, identify trends and reconcile payments all in one platform.
The launch builds on MBSB Bank’s earlier introduction of its fully online Business Current Account for SMEs, reaffirming its commitment to digital innovation and empowering entrepreneurs.
