KUALA LUMPUR: The Employees Provident Fund's (EPF) latest dividend payout will strengthen financial security for millions of Malaysians, boost public confidence in the formal savings system and contribute to economic stability.

Putra Business School economic analyst Dr Ida Md Yasin said the strong dividend payout reflected Malaysia's economic resilience, as EPF invested both locally and internationally.

"This dividend signals that the economy is on stable ground, not just in Malaysia, but globally as well. EPF's investment performance reflects strong financial market conditions, benefiting both contributors and the wider economy."

She said while the payout boosted EPF members' financial standing, most of the funds remained within the EPF system, strengthening their retirement savings.
