REMBAU, Aug 22 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (KUSKOP) remains committed to supporting the growth micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) entrepreneurs nationwide, thus facilitating their future expansion into the global market.
Its Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick said various forms of assistance and initiatives have been provided to MSME entrepreneurs, along with continuous support through funding, grants, and development programmes to help grow their businesses.
“KUSKOP will continue to create various initiatives to enhance the development of entrepreneurs,” he told reporters after officiating the opening of new Bubbles HUSSIN FAMILY'S POLICE LEGACY SPANS THREE GENERATIONS 26minit lalu SHOPEE CUP: HAQIMI AZIM STEERS KL CITY TO FIRST VICTORY 8jam lalu O2 Sdn Bhd manufacturing centre here today.
Present were KUSKOP deputy secretary-general (entrepreneurship development) Datuk Zamri Salleh, Perbadanan Nasional Berhad (Pernas) chairman Datuk Hazimah Zainuddin and Bubbles O2 executive chairman Arifin Marzuki.
According to Ewon, Bubbles O2 was among the companies benefiting from various forms of assistance from KUSKOP agencies, including RM5 million from Pernas for machinery and operating costs, along with additional aid from SME Corp and SME Bank.
“I would like to congratulate Bubbles O2 for not only increasing revenue domestically but also expanding into international markets, demonstrating their ability to build a brand that has gained international trust,” he said.
He is optimistic that Bubbles O2 will continue to lead advancements in the oxygenated mineral water industry and become a company that elevates Malaysia’s presence on the global stage.
Meanwhile, Ewon hopes the Ministry of Finance will raise the allocation in the 2025 Budget, considering the needs and recommendations of stakeholders, to support the growth of more MSME entrepreneurs.
“This year, we have received over RM700 million, in addition to existing funds. On Aug 27, we will have a special session with the Ministry of Finance to present new proposals. I believe these measures will enhance the performance of MSMEs in contributing to the country’s gross domestic product and creating job opportunities,” he said.
Ewon said the proposals include internationalising products by showcasing MSME entrepreneurs' goods at overseas expos, as well as establishing new MSME hubs, including in Borneo.
