INDIAN small and medium businesses have been urged to make full use of opportunities provided by new platforms such as TikTok, Makkal Osai reported.

Tekun’s Skim Pembangunan Usahawan Masyarakat India (Spumi) small loan scheme was the topic of discussion at a seminar at which Bangi PKR chief and Kajang councillor Balamurali Govindaraju was speaking. It was also organised by his team.

The seminar at the Kajang Municipal Council hall was chaired by Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development Datuk Ramanan Ramakrishnan’s political secretary Datuk Anbumani Balan.

The Tekun coordinator for Hulu Langat, Rajkumar Ponniah, and Spumi officers were at the event to explain the loan schemes available to Indian entrepreneurs.Anbumani, who spoke at the event, urged Indian entrepreneurs to make full use of all platforms available to them, but also not to trust or share fake news found online.

They should focus on aspects helpful to their business or trade, he said.

More than a hundred young Indian entrepreneurs participated in the seminar.
