SME Corp Malaysia, through the micro connector programme, has organised the Klik-Klik Senang Akaun Programme, focusing on efficient financial management and digitising accounting processes for MSMEs in Sabah.

Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Bernard Giluk Dompok, Chairman of SME Corp. Malaysia, and Datuk Dr Haji Mohd Arifin Datuk Haji Mohd Arif, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Sabah officiated the programme’s launch.

During the 12th Malaysia Plan, a total of 9,144 participants from micro-enterprises and inclusive community entrepreneurs joined the micro connector programme to improve business efficiency and generate better income with a total funding of RM14.7 million.

For the state of Sabah alone, this programme benefited 865 micro-enterprise participants with a total grant assistance of RM812,416.00 over the same period.

The Klik-Klik Senang Akaun Programme is one of the initiatives under the micro connector programme for 2024. This programme is implemented by the appointed implementation partner, Gold-Cheers Holding (M) Sdn Bhd.

This round of the programme in Sabah also received support from the Tuaran District Digital SME Entrepreneurs Association (PERDIKS) and was attended by 80 micro-entrepreneurs.

In his speech, Bernard reminded participants of the importance of effective cash flow and financial management for micro-enterprise owners. Good financial management can help companies avoid issues such as employee salary payments, shop rent, business loans, and payments to suppliers.

Systematic financial management also enables micro-enterprises to plan their business more effectively and ensure sufficient funds to face emergencies or unforeseen expenses.

Meanwhile, Rizal Nainy, CEO of SME Corp. Malaysia, said, “SME Corp Malaysia has appointed nine implementation partners for the micro connector programme for 2024. Among the focus areas offered are financial management and accounting applications, business digitalisation including digital marketing, as well as lifestyle and health.

“This year alone, the micro connector programme has approved a total of RM3.08 million to assist 800 micro-enterprises.”
