SME Corp. Malaysia, through its Micro Connector Program, has launched the ‘Klik-Klik Senang Akaun’ program, which focuses on efficient financial management and digitalizing accounting processes. The program was officially inaugurated by Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Bernard Giluk Dompok, Chairman of SME Corp. Malaysia, and Datuk Dr Haji Mohd Arifin Datuk Haji Mohd Arif, Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation of Sabah.

The Micro Connector Program is a key initiative aimed at enhancing the capabilities of micro enterprises through competitive skills and technical support. During the 12th Malaysia Plan, 9,144 micro business participants and entrepreneurs from inclusive communities have joined the Micro Connector Program, improving business efficiency and income generation with a total funding of RM14.7 million. In Sabah alone, the program has benefited 865 micro business participants with grant assistance totaling RM812,416.00 during the same period.

The ‘Klik-Klik Senang Akaun’ program is one of the initiatives under the Micro Connector Program for 2024. This program, executed by the appointed partner Gold-Cheers Holding (M) Sdn Bhd, received support from the District Tuaran Digital Entrepreneurs Association (PERDIKS) and was attended by 80 micro entrepreneurs.

In his speech, Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Bernard Giluk Dompok emphasized the importance of effective cash flow and financial management for micro business owners. Proper financial management helps companies avoid issues such as paying employee salaries, rent, business loans, and supplier payments. Systematic financial management also enables micro enterprises to plan more effectively and ensure sufficient funds for emergencies or unforeseen expenses.

Meanwhile, Rizal bin Dato’ Nainy, Chief Executive Officer of SME Corp. Malaysia, stated, “SME Corp Malaysia has appointed nine (9) implementation partners for the Micro Connector Program in 2024. Key areas of focus include financial management and accounting applications, business digitalisation including digital marketing, and lifestyle and health. This year alone, the Micro Connector Program has approved RM3.08 million to assist 800 micro enterprises.”
