TNG Digital Sdn Bhd has introduced the TNG Digital Business Account — a mobile-first, zero-cost financial tool targeted at Malaysia’s micro-SMEs and gig workers, offering instant onboarding, real-time payments and full e-wallet capabilities.

Launched by Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, Senator Dr Hajah Fuziah Salleh, the account removes traditional barriers such as paperwork, minimum balance requirements and onboarding fees. It is regulated by Bank Negara Malaysia as part of TNG Digital’s status as an approved e-money issuer.

TNG Digital CEO Alan Ni said the service was created to close the financial access gap for informal merchants and micro-enterprises, which contribute nearly 40% of Malaysia’s GDP. “This account allows SMEs to accept payments, track transactions and grow — all through a mobile phone,” he said.

The account includes features like “Near Me” for merchant visibility, GOyangGOyang cashback and vouchers for engagement and security tools such as kill switches and fraud protection.

TNG Digital also hinted at expanding the service to include micro-lending, savings and insurance solutions tailored for the underserved.

Senator Fuziah praised the move as “an important step towards creating a more accessible system” for those previously excluded from digital services.
